My Experience

I am a qualified Mental Health Nurse, CBT Therapist and EMDR Therapist and I have been working in mental health settings for 9 years. After qualifying as a nurse, I worked on a children’s inpatient ward. Following this I completed my CBT and EMDR training and I worked with young people and families in Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), before becoming a lecturer and supervisor on the CBT course at Reading University.

I currently work as a CBT andEMDR therapist, with both adults and children.

I have experience working with a range of mental health difficulties, for both adults and children, including Anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD, Social Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety, Panic Disorder and Separation Anxiety.

My Values

I will aim to create a safe and trusting space for you to feel comfortable to share your difficulties. I will work hard to support you to understand what is going on for you, helping you make sense of your difficulties and thinking about how we can work together to create positive changes.

I work with both children and adults (8+). For children under 8 years old, I work with parents offering a ‘parent as therapist’ approach in line with the evidence base.

Please note that I do not offer EMDR for children under 14.

I offer face to face appointments on Thursdays 8am-1pm in Aylesbury.
